Flash Gordon: Hawkman concept art

Here is a concept art I made for cgtalk Hawkmen  Flash Gordon concept art mini challenge.

I have lots to improve with concept art but still im ok with the result. I made few pose sketches and I chose one I liked the most and there I started to over paint all details.
If the beginning pose has problems it will always reflect into the ending result and no matter how much you try to fix it, it will show! (atleast for me).. So I have to make more better starting poses / and correct anatomy perspective stuff..

more comic style practice.. I feel this way is fast and easy.. you can make mistakes and it looks like it was ment to, so you dont have to be so accurate. Maybe thats why many comic book artist tend to keep their work simple? You can make lots of progress in short time..
I would like to make some comic stuff, but I think its going to be bit hard to make the characters look the same from different angles.

Also this style would be really cool someday to make mobile app 2d-platform game.

After killer potato I couldnt resist making more humorous painting... I was thinking couple in relationship therapy, two really different "funny" lookin persons. After while I changed it to be more like in their home..
I call this painting "She dont love me anymore" :P

Dailysketch... Topic Red Sword.. I was thinking something cliche and then accidently I had a face in my canvas which looked like a potato.. so I ended up with a psycho potato killer!!

Haha I started to paint face again, just doodleing something.. the face came up so freaky I had to finish the painting.. I kinda imaged this guy would be your cellmate if you ever ended up in jail.. I call him George :D

More 3d stuff, the musketeer 3d model

Trying to improve my coding skills with Javascript and Unity3d. So I had this idea to make a game with musketeers. At least I started practice blender 2.6 and made this character with it. Still I have to uv unwrap and texture it.. Pretty good after 2 week practising? I had almost 10 year of brake with 3d-modelling so I`m happy that once you learn something and you already forget it, its always easy to learn it again.. like riding a bicycle.. you never really forget it :)

I was doing 3d-models over 10 years ago, back then I couldnt draw stick figure.. I was going to study little drawing to know enough to make my own blueprints for 3d-models. I kind of forget 3d-modeling and just started to draw and paint.. maybe now im back in business..

Goblin Army

Yesterday I just started to paint face of goblin.. then armor.. then the rest of the painting. I just couldnt stop. Whole painting without reference, pretty good from me :D

Still lots of errors and mistakes to fix but im really happy about the result. This painting took like 2h

My first 3d-character

Today Im not going to paint anything.. but I finished my first 3d-character for my game.. or lets say this was practice made with blender 2.6.

I was fine with the result but then after while I started to think it looks too much like Minecraft.
My idea was for the game to have boxes because I have no idea about animation.... Go easier with everything and still have nice and funny feel... maybe exact what Minecraft makers did?

So maybe I will still sketch more about my character and make it more unique.
