Two cgtalk dailysketches and other stuff

Been busy with my portfolio and I was also trying to participate into Wastland 2 crowdsourcing project by making one environment model. I suppose I failed in importing the model(s) into the unity3d`s asset store.
I suppose the package didnt work out as I was expecting. But lets see...
Anyway here is my todays dailysketches.

American Gothic (I had no idea what to do...)

Into the darkness (Im pretty happy of the results because I finally think I have made little improvement by practising the fundamentals)

Here is also my wastland 2 tribute. The Radiation Station. Render made with Blender 2.6

And finally I made fast room sketch of broken house.

My room in apocalypse

I had no idea what to paint.. so I was looking around my room to find a subject. I got an idea to make an environment sketching practice (because all these perspective practice I have had) of my room, after some sort of apocalypse. I wanted to have some sort of game design sketch feeling into it.

last kiss

cgtalk sketch.

New book arrived and some of my sketchbook studies

I am trying to improve my skills with a thought. Not only randomly sketching everything but thinking what the areas where I should improve. I still really lack in the basics things. Last area I was improving was perspective, I still need to finish the book of Perspective made easy by Ernest Norling. After I finish this book I will start studying values, colors and lighting. Lots of people recommended the book of Color and Light by James Gurney, so I ordered it from internet and it arrived today! Lets see how much this will improve my skills... I would already like to start this book but I really have to finish my perspective book before.

Here is the book! it looks really beatiful..

Also here is the sketchbooks things I had been doing for last few months. Mostly my first water color practices, character studies and some perspective sketches.

Back to fundamentals: Perspective practice again.

I think I lack lots of the basic fundamentals on art. I have to get more practice on areas such as composition, perspective, anatomy/figure(proportions), color theory and values/lighting.
Right now I am trying to improve on perspective and after that I will select other areas to study. I am reading Ernest Norlings Perspective made easy.
Here is some of studies I made while reading this book.
